Brightside Cask Ale

At Brightside Brewing Company, we’ve got plenty of choice when it comes to cask ale.

Our most popular beers form the core range, and we also brew seasonal specials throughout the year. Details of our current beers are listed below; drop us a line for prices and volume discounts.

Be sure to check back regularly for any changes to our cask line up, including new beers.

We direct deliver beer in and around the North West from our home in Greater Manchester, over to Liverpool & the Wirral, up to Kirkby Lonsdale, down into Shropshire and over into North Wales.

Our Core Range

Odin Blonde Cask Ale

Odin Blonde

ABV: 3.8%

Style: Blonde

Tasting Note:

Our best selling beer in cask, Odin is a fresh, light bodied pale blonde ale brewed with the Czech noble hop Saaz and the highly sought after US hop Amarillo, together with rising stars from New Zealand. Expect a fruity, citrus flavour and moderately bitter finish.

Mancunian Blonde Cask Ale

Mancunian Blonde

ABV: 4.5%

Style: Blonde-IPA

Tasting Note:

The Mancunian is a blonde – IPA hybrid, drawing on the best of both styles to create a real crowd-pleasing beer. Amber and Crystal malts included in the purposefully delicately flavoured malt bill give a blonde with more depth, onto which we layer full flavoured Cascade, Columbus, Citra and Comet hops.

Maverick IPA Cask Ale

Maverick IPA

ABV: 4.8%

Style: IPA

Tasting Note:

One of our longest serving beers, Maverick is an easy drinking, delicious IPA brewed with 100% American hops. Lightly caramelized malts provide the central core to the malt bill, but the American Cascade is the main attraction bringing bold grapefruit and floral aromas to the beer, which finishes with a clean, refreshing bitterness.

Grafters Bitter Cask Ale

Grafters Bitter

ABV: 4.2%

Style: Bitter

Tasting Note:

When we were developing this beer, we were imagining the perfect beer to reward a hard day’s graft; whether that’s when you’re done with the day job at the end of the week, or after a day digging up the back garden! It’s a tasty golden bitter, with an ABV that makes it sessionable yet full bodied, and hops which give enough flavour to be tasty but not overwhelming. The moderate biscuity malt profile balances out the hops and softens off the finish.

Our Seasonal Range

Disco Shift Blonde Ale

Disco Shift Blonde

ABV: 3.8%

Style: Blonde

Tasting Note:

This beer was brewed with our hospitality friends in mind; a disco shift being a short notice shift behind a bar, but we also quite like the idea of having a beer named after a dance floor stint! It’s a super sessionable blonde that is both light in colour and in ABV, and is refreshingly fruity with a light bitterness to the finish. Everything about it is bright and fun and easy going.

Happy Day's Blonde

Happy Days Blonde

ABV: 3.8%

Style: Blonde

Tasting Note:

This beer was the first we ever brewed on our then new brewery plant which allowed us to go from brewing 10 casks a day, 7 days a week, to 70 casks in one brew. When we brewed the first batch it really was a very happy day!! Brewed with Citra and Columbus, this beer is light, dry and hoppy – perfect for summer drinking.

Northern Lights Porter Cask Ale

Northern Lights Porter

ABV: 4.2%

Style: Bitter

Tasting Note:

This one is a sturdy porter, brewed with a typically robust malt bill and balanced with Simcoe hops to create a nuanced, subtle hop character. You can expect smokey coffee aromatics, and dark fruit with a hint of licorice on the palate, and a touch of sweetness on the malty finish.
