Milds are the perfect mid point between bitters and porters: Deep layers of flavour from highly roasted barley yet not so rich or heavy that they satiate too soon; lower in ABV so that you can enjoy a few, and with enough complexity from the hops (Cascade and Hallertauer Mittelfruh) to keep things interesting! Best enjoyed on a calm, quiet evening, watching the bats.
